HND 1 Conducts Free and Fair Election
*Governor-elect promises no carry over
*Study hard to acquire good grades – DeputyThe HND 1 students of NIJ after much speculation have formerly delegated power and labour by electing their class executives.
The election which was conducted by the Students’ Affairs Officer Mrs. Kalesanwo and supervised by the HOD Photography, Mr. Boye witnessed an attractive attention from students as they all raised their hand to vote for their various nominees.
Governor-elect Ojebola Matthew Opeoluwa in his speech remarked that there would be adequate unity which would enhance togetherness and eradicate the rate of carry over in class. While contrary to this opinion, the deputy-elect, Tomiwa Babalola advised classmates to study hard so as to acquire good grades in their exams.
The high point of the election was when the Students’ Affairs Officer admonished the class to focus on studies to bag level-headed grades such as distinction and upper credit as she recalled similar case in a class where 11 distinctions were recorded.
Other executive members elected were Aduloju Bashir as the Sport Director and Eunice Aigbe, Social Director of the class. However, the entire students urged the class representatives to dispose their duties with fear of God.
